The Garden Woke Up Early — Floral Beaded Necklace

There are mornings in early summer when the garden gets there before you do. Everything is already open, already bright, already decided. You step outside and it feels less like a beginning and more like you've walked into something that's been going on without you — and is very glad you finally arrived.

A vivid grass-green base of Japanese seed beads sets the energy from the first bead. Two deep forest-green mangosteen flower beads anchor each shoulder with the quiet authority of something that has bloomed many times and knows exactly how. From there, the composition loosens into a full meadow of colour — mint flower forms, coral pink trumpets, soft lavender rounds and teal faceted glass tumbling toward the centre in the unhurried way of things that grew here naturally. At the heart, a large translucent mint-green five-petal flower pendant catches the light like something just after rain, fat and clear and entirely itself.
